Ashkan Sadeghi Artist and Architect

Ashkan Sadeghi is an Iranian born, London based artist, designer and architect. He received bachelor of art and design from Chelsea College, University of the Arts London in 2009 and moved to Architectural Association School of Architecture where he gained a Diploma in Architecture RIBA Part II in 2013.

He has also worked in some of the world’s well known architectural offices including “Amanda Levete Architects (Future System)”, “Foster and Partners” and “PLP Architecture in London. He has been involved in a number of international projects such as a retail store in Milan, New Modern Art Museum in Lisbon, an office tower in the City of London, Terminal II International Airport in Kuwait and high-end residential building, Hyde Park London.

He received various awards including Gold Medal for Design Performance 2006 UAL, and 2009 Wildest Imagination of Chelsea College. His works have been published, nominated for awards and exhibited in many Art Galleries such as Saatchi & Saatchi and AA Concrete Geometry in London. He is the inventor of “The Elastic Brick” known as petroleum Brick which has gained considerable exposure as being a new zero carbon material for the construction of mega arches and masonries. The material has been exhibited in many architectural material libraries such as SCIN gallery and London Design Festival. The Elastic brick is still under development as a material for 3D printing technology.

He founded “Ashkan Sadeghi Atelier (ASA)” in 2014 and since then he has built two museum/galleries in Tehran.
